Abstract
Wastewater from sugarcane molasses alcohol production was treated by activated carbon.Effect of activated carbon amount, adsorption time, temperature and pH on the degradation of CODcr and color of wastewater was investigated. The optimal condition was chosen as follows: activated carbon amount of 0.083g/mL,adsorption time of 40min,treated at 50℃ and pH value of 2.5.Result showed that color fading efficiency was about 25.5% and CODcr around 24.9%.The amount of activated carbon had strong effect on the degradation of color and CODcr.
