An Analysis and Evaluation of Regional Competitiveness of Shandong Province by Factor Analysis Method in 2012

On the basis of introducing the concept of the regional competitiveness,constructing regional competitiveness evaluation index system from two aspects of economic comprehensive strength and sustainable development ability,we evaluated and analyzed the 17 Cities of the regional competitiveness in Shandong Province in 2012 by the factor analysis method. The study pointed out: the east and west region of Shandong Province is obviously unbalanced in development competitiveness,especially in the three aspects of economic development and people's life,the education level between which the gap is obvious. Aiming at the questions to propose the corresponding policy recommendations: to highlight dislocation development of different regions,to strengthen the regional cooperation; to pay attention to the education in Western China and the development of science and technology,and to increase the income and living standards.
