Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effectiveness of small incision compression screws in the treatment of SandersⅡandⅢtype calcaneal fracture. Methods The clinical data of 32 patients with calcaneal fractures undergoing the treatment of modified incision were analyzed.According to the types of the modified incision, corresponding indexes of axial X ray Bohler angle,Gissane angle, height of calcaneus, calcaneal width, and calcaneal length were observed. The average CreightonNebraska score of patients with various types of fractures was calculated.During the follow-up period, complications were observed. Results The Bohler angle,Gissane angle, height of calcaneus, and calcaneal width of patients after the treatment were significantly increased as compared with those preoperation(P0.05).The patients were followed up for(24.53±9.46)months.No complications of loosening of screw, screw breakage and wound infection occurred during the follow-up period. There was no obvious loss of Gissane angle,Bohler angle, calcaneal length, width,or height of calcaneus.According to Creighton-Nebraska score, the average score of types Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ fractures was(89.32±4.29),(85.94±5.14),and(74.24±7.53)respectively.Conclusion The modified incision operation for the treatment of calcaneal fracture had the advantages of minimal trauma, and low incidence of infection and necrosis.
