Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of lateral small incision reduction under direct vision minimally invasive plate screw f ixation in the treatment of Sanders II type and III type calcaneal fracture. Methods 15 cases of patients with Sanders II type or III type calcaneal fracture were retrospectively analyzed. The calcaneal length, width and height, Bohler's angle, Gissane's angle of the patients on the X-ray plates were measured before and after the operation. Postoperative wound healing and postoperative function were evaluated. Results 15 patients were followed up for 6-15 months(average 9.7 months), the excellent and good rate of the operation was 86.7%, and the calcaneal length, width, height, Bohler's angle, Gissane's angle all got good recovery. All patients had no wound infection, skin necrosis and sural nerve injury. Conclusion The lateral minimally invasive internal fi xation for the treatment of calcaneal fracture is a minimally invasive and safe method, and it can prevent the occurrence of complications effectively.
