Wu Tingfang was a famous diplomat in the late Qing period.He twice served as China's envoy to the United States and in his diplomatic practice he developed rich thought on diplomacy including ideas of equal diplomacy,balance diplomacy and cultural diplomacy.Wu had importance influence on the Sino-US relations during the later Qing period.
