Application of Semi-submersible Self Propelled Heavy Lift Vessel in Offshore Engineering

Semi-submersible self propelled heavy lift vessel is a type of special purpose ship.In this paper the semi-submersible self propelled heavy lift vessel applied to offshore engineering industry is aimed at,as well as its configuration,difficult points of design and primary technical deployment are discussed in detail.On the basis of above discussion,operating principle of semi-submersible engineering vessel is illuminated.Finally, application of semi-submersible engineering vessel in the marine engineering is introduced briefly.It is concluded that further development of semi-submersible vessel should be focused on its application in deep sea.
