Abstract

The factors which influence the utilization ratio of H2O2 and the removal efficiency of COD including the initial pH,the H2O2/Fe2+ ratio, the dosage of H2O2,the type of activator and the reaction time were studied in the process of Fenton treatment to the dyeing wastewater. The test results show that the optimal initial pH is 7,the H2O2/Fe2+ ratio is 4:1,the most economical dosage of H2O2 is 0.05 mol/L and the reaction time is 3.5 hours respectively as well as the mixed activators can increase utilization ratio of H2O2.The quality of treated dyeing wastewater can reach 《Sewage Synthesis Emissions Standard》(GB8978-1996,GradeⅡ)with the removal efficiency of COD reaching to 81.3% and the utilization ratio of H2O2 being 154.5%.
