Poetics of Construction with Recycled Materials A World Resembling the Nature

Chinese and Western architectural traditions were once both eco-friendly.At present,if we go beyond ideological differences,the most commonly shared issue between East and West is that of ecology. In terms of architecture,there are lessons to be gleaned from tradition;that means contemporary architecture in China needs to learn more from rural practice.There is not only a need to study the concepts and building process of architecture,also a need to study and advocate a lifestyle that naturally and harmoniously integrates nature and man.Such a lifestyle has been suppressed in China for almost a century.We believe that a new order of architectural activity would be formed,which surpasses urban and rural differences,blends architecture and landscaping, breaks the barriers between professionalism and amateurism,focuses on the relationship between architecture and nature,and will surely bring about a fundamental change to architecture.Architecture is now undergoing a shift from the traditional idea of landscaping to one of modern.We are especially short of deep reflections on architecture,from which new ideas and methodologies will be revived.
