Abstract

Mu Dan's poems in his late years sing praise for his love and hope of life, and unfold the virtues of human feelings and human nature. Compared with his earlier poems, his later poems lay more emphasis on the poet's inner experience, consciousness and impression, which form his poetic style of profound maturity. The poems produced in his late years better reflect his firmness and spiritual persistence as well as the beauty of human nature. These poems not only make progress on the basis of his earlier ones, but also surpass his earlier works. With these great achievements, Mu Dan, whose poems make him a charming poet, has written the glorious chapters of Chinese poems, which have long been regarded as one of the poetic classics.
