A Study of Li Shaojun's Poems

Before 1994,i.e.in the early part of his verse creation,Li Shaojun had exhibited in his poems the philosophical quality of reflections on life.The common use of such writing techniques as paradox and irony in his poems is in one sense determined by the nature of modern life experienced by him.From 2005 onwards,drastic changes have been witnessed in Li Shaojun's poems in terms of orientation and style,which has led to the revelation in his poems of the responsibility of plunging into the thick of life and facing up to fate as well as to the possession of more solemn human emotions.While he has always stressed details of daily life in his poems,he has enhanced the sublimity of his poems by increasing the meticulousness of classical realism.
