Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical features and treatment measures of pulmonary infection in kidney transplantation patients. Methods The clinical data of 47 patients with pulmonary infection following kidney transplantation were retrospectively analysed. Results Among 47 patients,36(76.60%) and 8(17.02%) patients developed pulmonary infection within 6 months and 6-12 months respectively after kidney transplantation, and 3(6.38%) patients developed infection 12 months later;10 patients developed respiratory distress syndrome,5 of whom died; The types of pulmonary infection included bacteria(5 cases),fungi(5 cases),cytomegalovirus(4 cases),tuberculosis(2 cases) and mixed infection(21 cases). Conclusion Pulmonary infection following kidney transplantation mainly occurs within one year after transplantation, pathogens are various. The key to successful treatment is early detection of the pathogens, reasonable treatment and timely adjustment of immunosuppressive agents.
