Abstract

Impact of water deficit in different growing stages on rice growth was disscussed based on the change of dry matter and yield of rice under water regulation and different nitrogen levels from pot experiments. The results showed that the yield of rice was not significantly decreased and dry matter accumulation was slightly increased with water deficit during later tillering stage compared to check treatment, but rice is easy to be restrained from water deficit during jointing-booting and head-flowering stages, especially under water deficit during heading-flowering,the yield and dry matter accumulation were significantly decreased compared to check treatment.Nitrogen level would regulate crop growth under water deficit.High level of nitrogen can improve water use efficiency, release the damage to rice under water deficit, and realize the effect of water-fertilizer mutual coordinated.
