On the Connotation of PI Rixiu's Thought of Honoring Confucianism

In the later part of Tang dynasty,the empire waned in power and bogged down in crisis. In order to rescue the declining ways of the world and public sentiment,as well as to strengthen the reign of the dynasty, PI Rixiu spread the thought of honoring Confucianism. He also took great efforts to promote to study for the sake of application and reforming the current society. He boldly broke by the traditional ideology of Confucianism by taking in other thoughts, and he gave Confucianism a new life by applying it into the situation of the age. He explored the dark society deeply and made severe criticism. He advocated the ideal empire that was controlled by emperor who believed in Confucianism. All that he had done showed his strong feelings of changing the world and serving perople.
