On urban sculpture & creation of the environment

Through a discussion on the effect of the urban sculpture on the environment the position of importance of sculpture in creating such environment, and the environmental consciousness of the sculpture design, etc., this paper puts forward that urban sculpture has the functions of bringing forward the aesthetics, practicality and culture transfer of itself.Meanwhile, it has a critical effect on the environment construction. It indicates that the designer of urban sculpture must be conscious of the entire environment and assort his sculpture with the civilization of the history. The creation of the concourse and the scale of the environment,have to come to perfect combination of the sculpture with the environment. The paper also attaches to the importance of cooperation from the city planners, architects and the sculptors.
