Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and epidemic tendency of viral hepatitis in Pinggu District of Beijing City in 2009,and provide scientific evidence for the disease control and prevention.[Methods]Descriptive epidemiological analysis was applied.[Results]]Of 184 cases,120 were male (65.22%) and 64 were female (34.78%),the ratio of male to female was 1.88:1. The highest incidence rate was in male group aged 60~70 years (58.07 /100 000). Main type of the hepatitis was HBV,which accounted for 78.8%. Most cases were peasants (58.7%). The peak incidence appeared in January (11.08/ 100 000). Spring and winter were the seasons of susceptible.[Conclusion]The incidence rate is low in younger group shows that the hepatitis A and B vaccination is effective. Future prevention should still focus on rural area. In order to minimize the incidence of viral hepatitis,it is necessary to increase publicity efforts,to promote the hepatitis A and B vaccination,to investigate and handle the starter case in collective unit.
