Abstract
Immunohistochemistry SP method was used to study the relation between HPV types 16,18 E6 and p53 protein expression in 68 cases of cervical carcinomas. The results show HPV\|16,18 E6 and p53 protein positive expression were detected in 60 and 17 of 68 cervical carcinomas, positive rates of HPV\|16,18 E6, p53 protein were 88.2% and 25.0% respectively; overexpression of HPV\|16,18 E6 protein were revealed in 59 cases of cervical carcinomas with p53 negative and poor positive expression in 54 cases, the both showed a negative corretation(P0.01). Expression of p53 was associated with histological types, its positive rate was 83.3% in adenocarcinoma and 17.2% in squamous cell carcinoma, there was a significant difference between adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma(P0.01).Positive expression of p53 was higher as clinical stage increased(P0.01).
