Abstract

Objectives: To observe the curative effect of CO2 laser combined with circumcision in the treatment of recurrent condyloma acuminatum. Methods: 147 male patients with recurrent condyloma acuminatum were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group treated by CO2 laser combined with circumcision and the control group treated with CO2 laser treatment. The efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results: The one- time cure rate, half a year- cure rate and mean recurrence times of treatment group were 67. 53%,93. 51% and 1. 72 ±0. 98 times respectively; and in the control group, they were 50%,72. 86% and 3. 96 ± 1. 45 times. The cure rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group, and the mean recurrence times of treatment group was obviously less than that of control group. Conclusions: The therapy of CO2 laser combined with circumcision can raise the cure rate and reduce recurrent times, which should be widely promoted.
