Abstract
In order to enhance the query efficiency of inserting the nodes or modifying the node code in multi-documents,an effective structural join algorithm was proposed. The ancestor/decendant and parent/child structural query was improved through analyzing the XML structural join algorithm in single-document. The structural join in multi-documents was solved based on merge idea to adapt the multi-documents based query defined in the aspect-oriented XML Schema. The research indicates that the improved structural join algorithm can reduce the join scanning cost by further utilizing the XML data characteristic, index and weave document information. It is proved that the present algorithm has some rationality, validity and practicality.
