Clinical efficacy of thermal chemotherapy for malignant pleural effusion or ascites

Objective To observe thermal chemotherapy for malignant pleural effusion or ascites curative effect and difference.Methods 254 cases of late malignant tumor patients with malignant pleural effusion or ascites,randomly divided into two groups.Through the indwelling catheter outflow adequate chest water or ascites and injection cisplatin 60mg,change the position and drug uniform contact coelom membrane,Thermal chemotherapy group 127 cases heat treatment on the chest or abdomen.The partial use of the W2102 tumor heat treatment system for heating,heating to 41 ℃ ~ 43 ℃,heating time is sixty min,twice a week,each patient heat treatment five to ten times for one period of treatment.Comparing 127 patients with malignant pleural effusion or ascites only injection cisplatin.Results 127 cases with thermal chemotherapy group,CR 39,PR 46,SD 39,PD 3,RR was 66.9%;Single chemical group,CR 19,PR 41,SD 54,PD 13,RR was 47.2%.Thermal chemotherapy group of malignant pleural effusion was 87.7%(P 0.01),the median survival time was 7.5 months,malignant ascites efficient 45.2%(P 0.05),the median survival time was 4.6 months.Mainly for the adverse reaction of chemotherapy have gastrointestinal reaction and leucocyte reduce,heat treatment side effects is the burn,local pain and fever.Conclusions Thermal chemotherapy of malignant pleural effusion or ascites was more efficient than single local chemotherapy.But malignant pleural effusion have better curative effect and prolonged the survival time than malignant ascites more obvious.
