Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of puerarin on the levels of interleukin(IL)-6 and IL-10 in serum of the acute cerebral infarction patients. Methods 160 cases of acute cerebral infarction patients are randomly selected and randomly divided into the treatment group which is given puerarin plus conventional therapy and the control group which is given conventional therapy, observing the levels of IL-6,IL-10 in serum 14 days before and after treatment, and comparing these datas. Results The level of IL-6 in serum of the acute cerebral infarction patients in the two groups[the treatment group and the control group respectively(75.62±3.02)ng/L,(73.95±4.31 ng/L)] is higher than the normal group[(23.49±4.25)ng/L],while the level of IL-10 in serum of the acute cerebral infarction patients in the two groups[the treatment group and the control group respectively(5.78±4.85)ng/L,(6.76±5.57)ng/L] is lower than the normal group[(27.64±5.78)ng/L],there have significant differences(P0.05).The level of IL-6[the treatment group and the control group respectively(25.78±5.35)ng/L,(38.49±5.25)ng/L ]in serum of the two groups is decreased after treatment, while the level of IL-10[the treatment group and the control group respectively(6.76±5.57)ng/L,(20.34±4.34)ng/L] in serum of the two groups is increased, but the treatment group is more obviously. Conclusion Monitoring the level of IL-6 and IL-10 in serum is helpful to identify the prognosis of cerebral infarction.Clinical application of puerarin can significantly reduced the level of IL-6 in serum, while significantly improve the levels of IL-10 in serum, thus mitigate brain damage,is beneficial for the outcome of patients with cerebral infarction.
