The Friendship between the Nine Writers in Yi Tang and Anhui Adherents of the Ming Dynasty

In the early period of the Qing Dynasty,the Nine Writers of the School of Yi Tang made a name for their works and personal integrity.Besides writing and teaching,they undertook to fight for their cause which is to make acquaintance of various persons as many as possible across the country,the adherents of the collapsed Ming Dynasty in particular.Due to the fact that the central and southern Jiangsu Province was a cultural centre of the then China,the Nine Writers of the Yitang School used to frequent this piece of land after the overthrow of the Ming Dynasty and therefore made many friends among those Jiangsu adherents of the Ming Dynasty,which resulted from their feeling towards the Ming Dynasty as well as their consciousness of saving the then society.Their emotions and thinking revealed a rich historical awareness and thus had a typical meaning in the early period of the Qing Dynasty.
