Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of hair removal using long - pulsed alexandrite laser. Methods We have treated 320 patients in out - patient department, who are with hair removal of various parts and different types of body hair for several times. We use the long-pulsed alexandrite laser with the wavelength of 755nm.The 320 Patients were divided into 8 groups according to the hair of different parts of the body and different types, and the curative effects were analyzed. Results After several times treatment, the effective ratios is as high as to 96.8%, only one case appears temporary pigmentation. Meanwhile, the data above display the curative effect of this therapy are direct ratio with the treatment times. The curative effect is also connective with the curative part of the body. Conclusion We have achieved good results with using long-pulsed alexandrite laser in hair removal, and the complication is less. Therefore, It is an effective therapy for hair removal.
