Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the effect of hair removal using alexandrite laser. Methods:A total of 350 patients with unwanted hair were treated by alexandrite laser(wavelength: 755 nm,30 ms pulsewidth). The 350 patients were divided into several groups according to the hair of different parts of the body, and the curative effects were analyzed. Results:After several times of treatment, the effective rate is 83.71 %.We found that there were different effective rates in different part and the number of operation correlated with the effectiveness.Pigmentation occurred in 1.43 % of the patients(5/350).Conclusion:Hair removal by alexandrite laser has permanent effect. No severe side-effect is observed.
