Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of small doses of mifepristone in the treatment endometriosis. Methods The clinical data of 35 cases with endometriosis were retrospectively analyzed in our hospital from March 2010 to March 2012,all patients were given small doses of mifepristone treatment, the clinical curative effect and the change of serum levels of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),progesterone(P),luteinizing hormone(LH),testosterone(T) and estradiol(E2) were observed. Results After 6 months treatment,23 cases(65.7%) were obviously improved,10 cases(65.7%) were improved,2 cases(5.7%) had no change. The patients with P,LH,and E2 were significantly decreased after 6 months treatment, compared with before treatment, the difference was significant(P0.05);But the FSH and T com- pared with before treatment, there was no significant difference(P 0.05).No adverse reaction occurred. Conclusion Small dose mifepristone treatment endometriosis can improve the patient ′s clinical signs and symptoms, the side effect is small.
