Abstract

[Objective] The objective of this study was to explore the influence of Mg on dry matter accumulation and nutrient uptake of flue-cured tobacco and provide a theoretical base for rational application of Mg in flue-cured tobacco.[Method] Mg fertilizer at 60 kg/hm2 was applied as treatment in test sites of Xuancheng and Xiuning, with no Mg fertilizer as CK.The roots, stems and leaves of flue-cured tobacco in different growing stages were collected, dried and sifted out,and dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid after incinerated. The content of Mg and other microelements in the samples were measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.[Result] In the samples of flue-cured tobacco applied with Mg fertilizer in different growing stages in test sites of Xuancheng and Xiuning pots, the amount of dry matter accumulation was 12% and 10% higher than that in CK resp.,the content of Mg was 66% and 89% higher than that in CK resp.and the content of Mg in leaves was also higher than that in CK,the accumulation amounts of microelements were all higher than that in CK.[Conclusion] Applying Mg fertilizer could improve the dry matter accumulation of flue-cured tobacco, increase Mg uptake in tobacco plant and the microelement accumulation, which was in favor of increasing the yield.
