Abstract

Tectonostratigraphy is a crossed borderline branch of stratigraphy combined with structural geology and tectonics. Usually it belongs to the category of tectonics abroad, because of the tectonic significance of strata is mainly regarded. The tecotonostratigraphic study in metamorphic together with non Smith stratigraphy and orogen stratigraphy (including regional stratigraphy and integrative stratigraphy in orogenic belt) fill in the deficiency in the research field of the meaning of stratigraphy. Thus the tectonostratigraphy become a normally branch of the stratigraphy. The non Smith stratigraphy is just the tectonostratigraphy of non Smith strata region, and the orogen stratigraphy should be orogen tectonostratigraphy. They are all the newly growing points of tectonostratigraphy. It is important to perfect and develop the tectonostratigraphy in the future.
