Abstract

Orogenic stratigraphy can be divided into disorder, order or break stratigraphy. The authors think that most of the stratigraphy of the orogenic belts can be recovered for the studies of sedimentology and lithofacies. Sedimentology plays an important role in the analysis of orogenic stratigraphy and lithofacies, but more attention should be paid to the close relation between sedimentology and tectonics.
