Abstract
The effects of quenching temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of composite tool steel substrate 60Si2Mn were studied by tensile test, impact test, hardness test and microstructure analysis. The results show that the mechanical properties of 60Si2Mn steel are improved with the increase of the quenching temperature after tempering at 150 ℃,the process of low-temperature quenching and tempering(quenching at 1050 ℃ and tempering at 150 ℃) can be used when it combines with high-carbon high-chromium steel.Although the toughness of 60Si2Mn decreases slightly, the hardness and tensile strength gradually increases with the increase of quenching temperature after tempering at 550 ℃,the process of high-temperature quenching and tempering(quenching at 1150 ℃ and tempering at 550 ℃) can be used when it combines with high-speed steel.
