Research on the Competitiveness of Guangdong's Motorcycle Industry Cluster Based on the "GEMS" Model

This paper analyzes and evaluates the competitiveness of Guangdong's motorcycle industry cluster using the GEMS Model and concludes that the development of the cluster has mainly been due to the internal market,enterprise structure and strategy.But it is obviously inadequate in the aspects of the external market,suppliers,and related support industries.To enhance the competitiveness of the cluster,the following countermeasures can be taken: improving the industrial infrastructure,setting up as early as possible the motorcycle industry association,establishing branch offices to further explore the market in the Middle East,South America and even some developed countries.
