Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of early home rehabilitation and nursing intervention on patients with cerebral infarction. Methods: 82 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into the intervention group and control group randomly. Those patients in intervention group accepted home rehabilitation and nursing intervention for three months. All patients were evaluated with Barthel Index (BI) score and Hamilton depression scale at admission and three months after admission. Results: After intervention there was a significant increase in BI score (P0.01) and a significant decrease in hamilton depression scale (P0.05) of patients in group. The BI score of intervention group was higher than group (P0.05) and the Hamilton depression scale of group was lower than control group (P0.05) significantly. Conclusion: Early family rehabilitation and nursing intervention can improve activities of daily living and reduce depression symptoms of patients with cerebral infarction.
