Abstract
Objective:To explore the application of the clinical pathway in clinical teaching on the maxillofacial surgery care.Methods:Eighteen internship nurses in the oral and maxillofacial operation room were taught by applying the clinical pathway for 4 weeks.Their performance on theories and skills and satisfaction with clinical teaching were compared with that of 18 internship students who received the traditional teaching methods.Results:Application of the clinical pathway in clinical teaching can improve the students'performance on theories and skills as well as their satisfaction with clinical teaching.Conclusions:Applying the clinical pathway in clinical teaching on the maxillofacial surgery care can improve the quality of teaching and students' satisfaction.
