On Yicang System in the Song Dynasty

Yicang as an important system about natural disasters' preparing and relief,its establishment had undergone repeatedly,and finally had been established in the late Northern Song Dynasty,until the Southern Song Dynasty.Yicang was dedicated to the relief free against natural disasters,at the same time its lending and sale function had also been greatly developed,and had the trend of in line with Changpingcang.The grain of Yicang is mainly from taxes which the third-class citizens pay in proportion to the Two-Tax.And in Southern Song Dynasty,grain by buying is more and more common with the social and economic development and changes of Yicang's function.Yicang has gradually formed a relatively complete management system in its development,but over time,it gradually exposed a lot of drawbacks,and affected the play of its functions.However,with the continuous adjustment of the Song government,Yicang was still preserved and developed,and had a profound impact on later.
