The warning of economic differences between southern and northern Xinjiang

The regional economic difference is an inevitable phenomenon in the economic development process.The current situation and development strategy choice of an area are decided by the basic understanding of this situation.Using the factor analysis method,the variation coefficient and gini coefficient method,we studied economic status of southern and northern Xinjiang from the static and dynamic perspectives since 2000 and found that the economic differences between south and north are obvious and economic development level of north Xinjiang is obviously better than that of sorth Xinjiang.The study also diagnosed the degree of economic difference between southern and northern Xinjiang using econometric model and found that absolute difference is beyond a tipping point,and relative disparity is close to alarming levels too.The countermeasures to promote regional coordinate development in Xinjiang were presented.
