Treatment of patella sleeve fracture with suture anchors

Abstract
Objective To investigate the possibility of treatment of patella sleeve fracture with suture anchors. Methods Six patients who had patella sleeve fracture were accepted the treatment of open reduction and internal fixation with suture anchors. Two suture anchors were screwed into the lower edge on both sides of the patella and the anchors were completely buried in the bones. The line on the anchors passed through the patellar tendon and was tied a knot. Then the tissue around the patella was purse-string sutured. Results All of the six patients were followed up and the results were excellent according to the Bostman score method used in the patella fracture. Conclusion The treatment of patella sleeve fracture with suture anchors is a safe,and available operation method and it is a more suitable surgical method for children.
