The serve, containing the possibility of getting or losing point, is not only a kind of skill, but also a link with crucial influence on the first attack and defense counterattack. In this study, focusing on the serve characteristics in men volleyball matches, the author studies the skills and tactics of serve to confirm the position of serve in men volleyball, in order to know and study serve as a system corresponding to the systems of first attack and defense a counterattack.
