Discussion on Roles of First Attack and Counterattack Prevention in New Volleyball Rules

Investigation, interview, documentation and mathematical statistics were used to investigate and analyze the roles of the first attack and counterattack prevention in the new volleyball rules-score by every serve. The results were as follows: 1. To get the scoring right directly by the first attack has remarkably raised its roles in competition. 2. Counterattack prevention is essential and the ability to prevent counterattack still plays a decisive role. 3. The contribution rate of scoring by preventing counterattack is rising day by day. 4. Excellent ability to prevent counterattack is the common characteristics of the strong volleyball teams at home and abroad.
