Abstract
Objective:To identify differential proteins expression of human oral leukoplakia and paired normal oral mucosa. Methods:The differential proteins expression of oral leukoplakia and paired normal oral mucosa tissues were characterized by means of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2-DE).Results:The well-resolved,reproducible 2-DE patterns of oral leukoplakia and normal oral mucosa tissues were obtained. And average spots were 1726±67,1608±73 in oral leukoplakia and normal oral mucosa tissues respectively. The 38 differential protein spots were identified. There were 16 protein spots in oral leukoplakia were higher expressed than those of oral mucosa.22 protein spots in oral leukoplakia were lower expressed than those in normal oral mucosa. Conclusion:The development of oral leukoplakia might due to the expression and modification of some proteins in oral mucosa tissues. The study on these differential proteins expression will help to screen special biomarkers of oral leukoplakia.
