The diagnostic value of color Doppler to leg arterial disease in patients with diabetes mellitus

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of color Doppler to arterial disease in patients with diabetes mellitus.Methods Using color Doppler to detect conventionally the leg artery of 169 patients with diabetes mellitus and artery atherosclerosis,and 60 non-diabetes mellitus with artery atherosclerosis as control.The two groups were analysed by observing their arerial wall,arerial lumnen,dimention of plaque and blood stream.Results One hundred and ninteen cases were reported with plaque of percent was 70%.One hurdred ard thirty-six patients with think wall of anterior tibial artery and posterior tibial artery,peroneal artery,dorsal pedis artery and lumen narrow,abnormal blood filling,the percent was 80%.Forty-four patients with plaques of iliac artery,femoralia artery and popliteal artery in 60 cases of the control group,percent was 73%.Twenty-three patients with distal abnormal vascular of anterior tibial artery,posterior tibial artery and dorsal pedis artery,the percent was 38%.Conclusion To detect the leg vascular,color Doppler is convenient,safe and can be first choosed because its sensitivity is improving.
