Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of corruption debridement in treatment of superficial abscess. Methods A total of 60 patients with superficial abscess admitted during December 2013 and January 2015 were divided into two groups. The treatment group( n = 30) was treated with corruption debridement, while the control group( n = 30) was given incision and drainage. The curative effects, the time of wound healing and cicatricial size after healing in the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate was 100% in each group. The time of wound healing and cicatricial size after healing in the treatment group were shorter and smaller than those of control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion The corruption debridement in treatment of superficial abscess has advantages, such as better curative effect,a shorter course of disease and smaller cicatricial size after healing.
