Abstract
Auto-representation means the divertion of the focus of literary representation from the content to the process.Substituting auto-representation for the realistic representation of the life world,metafiction endeavors to expose the fictionality of literary works and to trigger the readers' rethinking about the artificiality and conventionality of realist representation.
