On Shi Dao-an's Buddhism

Geyi was a kind of way to use the concepts and terms of Chinese philosophy to interpret the profound meaning of the Buddhist Scripture. Shi Dao-an didn't oppose ingenious Geyi,but he objected to the mechanical analogy between Buddhism and Chinese philosophy.Both Shi Dao-an's ontology and the theory of dhyana were built by using Weijin Metaphysics for reference.When explaining foreign culture,Shi Dao-an did not distort its essence,but he reduced the contradiction between it and his natural culture to the lowest,and this was very wise.Thanks to the building of his Buddhism,we can again find the vast breadth of mind and the superb witness of early Chinese Buddhists.
