Abstract

The combined anaerobic/aerobic membrane bioreactor process was applied for treatment of reactive anthraquinone dye wastewater, and the treatment efficiency was investigated. The results show that the average removal rate of COD is 90% and the average decoloration rate is 48% by the combined process. The decoloration rate is the highest, being 62% when the influent dye concentration is 100 mg/L. Adding MnSO4 can improve the decoloration rate of the system.
