The difference between Shen Congwen and Fei Ming in the creation of local novels

Abstract
Fei Ming's local novels are not aimed at disclosing the hardships of the people but describe the local conditions and customs in the style of pastoral poetry, while Shen Congwen's novels more demonstrate the mingling of the constant historical culture in villages and the various modern culture which lead to the contradiction and man's surviving tragedy.
