Abstract

In Xu Fuguan's Art Spirit of China,his new explanations of Confucianists' art spirit do not arouse much concern from the mainland scholars.Mr.Xu makes deep research and exploration on formation and transformation of art spirit that Confucius took music as the center.His efforts are not only of great significance to restore the classics and to emancipate Confucianism,but also provide important inspiration in methodology for Chinese traditional literature and aesthetics.
