This article introduces Baxhtin's linguistic philosophy whose core is utterance and his cultural theory whose main idea is dialogue. The author believes that Baxhtin's cultural theory has a close relationship with his linguistic philosophy in the basis, main content and methodology. So Baxhtin based his cultural theory during the period of his linguistic philosophy.
