Cost-effectiveness Analysis on Atorvaststin and Simvastatin in the Treatment of Compound hyperlipimia

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of atorvaststin and simvastatin for compound hyperlipimia. Methods 80 Compound hyperlipimia patients were divided into 2 groups, one of which took atorvaststin(A) and the other took Simvastatin(B),therapeutic efficacy and ADRs were observed, and the cost-effectiveness of the regimes were evaluated. Results The cost of group A was 355.04 yuan, group B was 233.0 yuan, respectively ;The effective rates were 92.5% and 87.5%,respectively(P0.05);The ADRs rates were 2.5% and 5%,respectively(P0.05);The cost-effectiveness rates were 3.84 and 2.66 , respectively; The incremental cost-effectiveness of the group A as against the group B was 24.41.Conclusion The therapy of simvastatin has marked advantage over atorvaststin in treating compound hyperlipimia.
