Study on Clinical Effects of Daine-35 and Letrozole on Ovulation Induction in Women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Objective To study the effect of Daine-35 and Letrozole on ovulation induction in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Methods From Oct,2006 to Apr,2009,a total of 52 cases of women with PCOS in our hospital were recruited.All the patients were given daine-35 for three months,and then they were divided into two groups:LE group(20 cases)was given letrozole(2.5mg/d) for 5 days(from the 3rd-7th day of catamenia) and CCgroup(32cases) was given clomiphene citrate(50mg/d) for 5 days(from the 3rd-7th day of catamenia).The endometrial pattern and the number of follicle(≥16mm) were observed,and the ovulation rate,the pregnancy rate and OHSS rate were compared.Results The level of LH and T and the ratio of LH/FSH of all the patients were lower after daine-35 application.On the day of HCG injection,the endometrial thickness of LE group was better than that of CC group,with a significant difference(P0.05).The number of follicle with a diameter≥16mm on the day of HCG injection was higher in LE group than in CC group,but the difference was of no statistical significance(P0.05).The ovulation rate in LE group was the same as that in CC group.Tne pregnant rate in LE group was higher than that in CC group,but the difference was of no statistical significance(P0.05).No OHSS happened in LE group,the difference from CC group was of statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion PCOS patients pre-treated with Daine-35 have the same LE ovulation-promote effect and pregnant rate as that of CC group,but the complication rate gets lower significantly.
