Public Policy Management: A New Dimension of Public Policy Research

Public policy needs to be managed. Currently its research is mostly done in the dimension of policy analysis,i. e. it is analyzed as a management tool. Public policy,however,needs to be managed itself and the research of its management is the extension of its theory besides being a objective necessity of actual operation of public policy. More than highlighting its theoretic research,it means a return to practice. Management of public policy is of great importance to enhancing policy performance,solving policy conflicts,minimizing policy cost,and improving government effect. Its formation and emergence is not a form of subjective speculation. Instead,its inherent characteristics are the prerequisites and bases of public policy management as well as the inner logic of taking public policy management measures.
