Abstract

Objective To study the improving effect of acupiont sticking therapy on sports fatigue.Method Fifty undergraduate athletes were randomized into a sticking group and a sham-sticking group.Subjective indexes including the Rating of Perceived Exercise(RPE) and Profile of Mood States(POMS),as well as blood lactate and blood ammonia contents after exercise and record of 800 m racing were observed.Result Compared to the sham-sticking group, the sticking group had more significant improvements in perceived fatigue and sports mood, and it also showed increases in blood lactate and ammonia levels 4 min after exercises and showed decreases 20 min after exercises,as well as a promotion in 800 m racing. Conclusion Acupoint sticking therapy can relieve sports fatigue, and improve subjective and objective indexes.
