Abstract
Objective: To explore the significance of color ultrasound in the examination of the thickness of carotid tunica intima - media and the formation of atheromatous plaque for the patients with hyperlipemia. Methods: Using medison - 8000ex high frequency ultrasonograph the formation of atheromatous plaque and the thickness of carotid tunica intima - media were detected in two groups, the experiment group had 120 cases with hyperlipemia and the control group had 120 cases with normal blood lipid. Results: The experiment group had higher incidence rate in the formation of the plaque and thickening of carotid tunica intima - media than the control group (P0.05). Conclusions: The color ultrasound can clearly display carotid tunica intima - media, it has great clinical significance both in predicting atherosclerosis and estimation of therapeutic effect.
